The Beginner Guide To A Forex Advisor

By John Eather

Oh my goodness, I just started trying to figure out the FOREX system of trading and got so confused! I was looking for a Forex Advisor. There is a lot of info that a new person with little knowledge can certainly get overwhelmed with.

I just wanted to find out what everyone is talking about, making big bucks using Forex trading. I hear about Forex everywhere these days, news, spam in my inbox, and curiously, I found a Forex bot, auto-trader flyer in my mail box.

Big businesses, like banks facilitate the purchase and sale of foreign money, which is what "Forex" stands for, "the foreign exchange market" some people also abbreviate it "FX".

The Foreign exchange is where trading and investing is facilitated and the big reason the foreign exchange market is necessary is because of the varied types of currency in the world; the Pound Sterling, Euro, the US Dollar etc., and big international companies need for trading in these various currencies.

In order for you (if you're like me) to obtain easy, simplified forex information is to just go to a few good sites, like I did, forex-guide.net, was really set up nicely for reading and there was loads of information for free. There is also a lot of web links that will want your fees upfront for them to give out their good knowledge on Forex.

If you really want to pay nothing and learn a lot, then go to forex-trader.com/fx-resources.htm, they will send you free information pages and resources by email. Or do what I did and watch guys teach for free just go to YouTube, you won't be disappointed.

I got a little over overwhelmed at first but then I did the search in the YouTube site for Forex where menu appears with great options, pick the Forex Training and start watching videos. My common sense told me to watch the films that were highly rated and had over 20-30 minutes of footage. I got a lot out of the longer videos. Well, I hope you enjoy educating yourself and hope you start making money on the Forex. - 23210

Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD)

By Ahmad Hassam

Moving Average Convergence Divergence, acronym MACD and pronounced Mac Dee is one of the simple and most reliable technical tools in your trading arsenal as a currency trader. MACD is a trend following momentum oscillator or indicator and is used often by most of the traders.

MACD is a lagging indicators and it shows the relationship between two moving averages of recent prices. Most technical indicators are lagging. This means they are slow and they just tell you what just happened after the fact.

Technical analysis is based on the belief that all available information is immediately impounded into the prices and the past prices can be used to predict the future prices in the currency markets. Learning technical analysis is must for you if you want to succeed as a currency trader.

There are many chart types used in the technical analysis. Technical analysis helps you to read your charts and analyze them with a number of technical indicators. Using technical indicators is the key to understanding the market behavior.

MACD is calculated by subtracting a slow exponential moving average (EMA) from a fast exponential moving average. Signal line is calculated by the taking the EMA of MACD for a number of bars. The Histogram is the difference between the MACD and its signal line.

MACD is one of the most popular technical indicators in currency trading and is used often. However, beware that MACD is often misunderstood and misused resulting in wrong signals. Like any other technical indicator you should use it in conjunction with other technical indicators for confirmation.

In case of Crossovers, when MACD falls below the signal line, it is a bearish signal. It indicates the time to sell. Conversely, when MACD rises above the signal line, it is a bullish signal. It indicates that it may be time to buy.

In case of a Divergence, when the price diverges from MACD, it indicates the end of the current trend. Negative Divergence is when the price is rising and MACD is falling. It is an indication of the change in the trend. Thats right; the lagging indicator that is supposed to follow the price is predicting future behavior.

Dramatic Expansion: Dramatic expansion occurs when the shorter moving exponential average pulls away from the longer moving exponential average. Suppose MACD expands dramatically. It is an indication that the currency is overbought/ oversold and may return to normal soon.

You should make one thing very clear when you use a MACD. All the above three cases are important. They should not be overlooked by you as a currency trader. However, none of them alone are signals for entering or exiting a trade. MACD Divergence is tradable when confirmed by other indicators. If you simply start trading on MACD Divergence, it may not yield a profitable trade.

However, when you confirm MACD with other technical indicators, success is more likely. This is because of the fact that several things are happening in the currency markets at the same time. So you have to confirm your finding with other technical indicators. Each is attracting the same bulls and bears into the trade that you are planning to make.

MACD crossovers and dramatic rises are easy to spot. However, spotting MACD divergence takes a little practice. - 23210

Forex Megadroid Review Automated Forex

By Frank Rivera

With the recent success of FAPTurbo, many scalping robots have come along as cheap knockoffs of the original. Most of them are not profitable and they prove to be ripoffs. Forex Megadroid recently came out and many people figured that this was just another one of those. Someone else claiming to be able to scalp money out of the forex market with a robot. However, when the dust finally settled, people found that Forex Megadroid was pretty good as well.

What makes the Forex Megadroid stand out from the rest? Forex Megadroid is an expert advisor that integrates easily with any MetaTrader 4 trading account. This means you're able to choose your options when it comes to brokers.

This software is designed to trade on the pre-Asian trading session and it has the noticeable difference of a different currency pair than the FAPTurbo can offer. The inclusion of the EUR/USD pair allows you more opportunities to trade, especially as the spreads on this pair are very reasonable during the pre-Asian sessions.

This robot is a little more accurate than FAPTurbo or any other robot for that matter. It picks entry points that are a little more accurate than others. It also has a little bit different trading strategy than other EA's out there. It doesn't trade as often as FAPTurbo, but it usually gets bigger profits per trade. For example, you might be getting several $5 and $6 winners out of FAPTurbo, but you can expect some $25 and $30 or more winners out of Megadroid. It just won't trade as often. You will get two trades at the most per day and sometimes one or none.

This means instead of seeing several small profits of $5 or $6 throughout the trading day like you would with FAPTurbo, you should instead see one or two larger winners of $25 or $30 with Forex Megadroid.

One of the minor differences with the Forex Megadroid is that it doesn't offer the same level of customization that the FAPTurbo can offer, however this can make it much easier to use for novice traders. The robot makes your trading strategy very simple. You just input the amount you're willing to risk with each trade and the robot will factor in your risk tolerance levels with each trade placed, including stop-loss trades.

It is extremely easy to set up, as you just download it into your MetaTrader and then attach it to the appropriate chart. If you've never done anything with forex before, you could follow the guide that comes with it and be up and running in a few minutes.

Overall, this is a very effective robot that can get the job done. It's similar to FAPTurbo except it's more accurate and uses a different currency pair. You won't get that many trades, but you can feel more comfortable about the ones that you do get. Check out Forex Megadroid if you've been looking for a consistent way to grow your account. - 23210

3 Different Things That You Need to Examine before Choosing a Forex Trading Platform

By Alex Miller

Many of us have seen our portfolios dropped as a result of the current economic crisis but that does not necessarily mean that we have given up on our portfolios altogether. There are quite a few people who are now turning to Forex because of the fact that it's a zero-sum market and allows individuals to trade, regardless of their experience. Once you understand the market well, it is possible for you to build up quite a portfolio quickly.

One of the things that you must be sure that you have, however, is a qualified broker at your side. It is impossible for you to trade directly on the Forex market as all trades must be placed with your broker and he will actually make them happen for you. Calling a broker on the telephone is becoming increasingly antiquated but it is possible to have direct access to them over the Internet which is very convenient. This is done through any one of the Forex trading platforms that are available.

There are a number of different things that you need to consider whenever you are choosing from among these Forex trading platforms and making the proper choice is going to make a difference in how well you are going to trade. We have tested dozens of platforms and there are a few things that we always look for whatever we are doing our testing. Here are a few of our most important criteria, something that may help you in making your own decision.

Without a doubt, the most important thing for you to look at is which direction the Forex platform tends to go. For some people, they are just starting out and they need a platform that is going to take them by the hand and walk them through the entire process. Other people are already experienced and they would like to have a platform with more advanced tools. It is important for you to choose a Forex platform that has both of these if you're a beginner and advanced tools if you're experienced. Make sure that the platform can grow with you over the course of time.

Customer service is also something that we consider to be extremely important when choosing your Forex platform. Although it is not typical for you to have to contact customer service, you want to make sure that they are going to be available for you if the need ever arises. Look for more than just an e-mail address and make sure that they have an online chat which is available along with toll free numbers which actually dial through to someone with knowledge.

Finally, you might be interested in seeing if they offer other types of trading, such as gold or other precious metals. Oil trading is also something that is offered by many of the more popular Forex platforms. This can truly help you to diversify while not jumping from broker to broker in order to do so.

I'm not saying that it is going to be an easy thing for you to make your decision but by breaking it down into simplistic terms like this, you will be able to make a wise one. Choose a platform that is not only a good fit now but will be a good fit into the future for you. The Forex market is an excellent way for you to build your portfolio. Choosing the right platform can help you in amazing ways as well. - 23210

IRS Eases Investment Rules for 529 College Savings Plans

By Doeren Mayhew

Saving for college is always difficult and is even more so during the current economic downturn. One of the most popular college savings plans are so called "529 plans." The IRS recently announced that participants in 529 plans will be able to change their investments more often in 2009 than in past years. The IRS will allow a change in investment strategy twice in 2009. This is good news for 529 plan participants, especially those who may otherwise be locked into a mix of investments that has turned out to be more speculative than initially contemplated.

Tax-Free Distribution Options A 529 plan, a type of qualified tuition program, allowed taxpayers to contribute to an account established for paying a student's educational expenses. Eligible educational expenses may include the costs of tuition, books, and fees at eligible institutions, such as colleges, vocational schools, and other ostsecondary institutions.

Contributions to 529 plans are not tax-deductible, however, although earnings are tax-free, and distributions used to pay the beneficiary's qualified education xpenses are tax-free.

A 529 plan should not be mistaken with a Coverdell Educational Savings Account (Coverdell ESA). The latter is also a savings account for education expenses that offers tax-free distributions, but funds saved in a Coverdell ESA can be used for elementary and secondary school expenses as well as college costs.

Investment Choices Generally, participants in 529 plans must select only from among broadbased investment strategies designed exclusively for the program. Now, the IRS has traditionally permitted a change in investment strategy only once a year.

In response to the economic slowdown and the turmoil in the financial markets, the IRS will allow investments in a 529 plan to be changed during 2009 on a more regular basis. A 529 plan will not violate the investment restriction if it permits a change in the investment strategy more than once in calendar year 2009, as well as upon a change in the designated beneficiary of the account. - 23210
